Increased awareness of the importance of e-commerce and a multichannel strategy
A medium-sized international company operating within industrial services wanted to create and implement a new eBusiness and multichannel strategy. In the past, these fields received little or no focus due to relatively low maturity in the industry, as well as the long-term implementation of an ERP taking most of the company’s IT resources. Some pilot studies were conducted within e-commerce but without much success.
The first step was to create a holistic picture including a business case for the management team. The next step was to create a strategy and implement a multichannel program with a business case for e-commerce, including IT architecture and web, and also create qualifications for a solutions partner.
Increased awareness of the importance of e-commerce and a multichannel strategy for the company. Decision to move before its competitors in this field and lead the change in the industry.
